1) Information about why marriage equality matters
2) Resources to assist you in talking about marriage equality or understanding the landscape
3) How to get involved
America is engaged in a crucial conversation, a conversation about basic values of love, commitment, fairness, and freedom. In every state, in many families, good people are thinking and talking about how excluding same-sex couples from marriage harms them, their kids, and our country.
This conversation is first and foremost about real families, real couples and children, who need and deserve the tangible and intangible security, clarity, and respect that comes with marriage. Couples who have made a personal commitment in life, who are caring for one another and taking responsibility to be together through life's ups and downs—deserve the equal legal commitment to match.
We all have a stake in assuring that every American is treated equally under the law, and that American values of fairness and freedom, choice and commitment, and the pursuit of happiness are respected and upheld.
